Tetap gunakan material kaca dan desain kamera boba, bagian frame atau bingkainya dibuat flat atau rata seperti generasi iPhone 4/5. Di bagian depan, ketahanan layarnya diperkuat, dan juga punya bezel lebih tipis. Sehingga meski dimensi layarnya lebih besar di 6,1 inci, ukurannya masih tetap kompak serupa iPhone 11 Pro.

Jalankan chipset terbaru Apple A14 Bionic dengan fabrikasi 5nm, iPhone 12 Pro juga punya setup tiga kamera 12MP yang ditingkatkan. Sensor utamanya punya diafragma yang lebih besar dengan OIS lebih stabil, supaya bisa hasilkan foto lebih terang, dan video lebih stabil. Mode malam kini dihadirkan juga di sensor lainnya, termasuk kamera depan untuk hasilkan swafoto berkualitas.

Dan juga Apple berikan sensor tambahan, yaitu LiDAR di dalam bingkai kamera belakangnya. Sensor ini bertugas untuk mendeteksi jarak antar ojek, dengan akurasi tinggi meski dalam kondisi cahaya kurang sekalipun. Dengan begitu, iPhone 12 Pro series bisa hadirkan fitur night portrait, alias foto potret yang juga digabungkan dengan algoritma mode malam. Dan seperti iPhone 12 lainnya, dilengkapi teknologi baru yaitu MagSafe, membuka jalur untuk aksesori yang lebih banyak dan mudah untuk digunakan, tanpa menggunakan kabel.
