Already known as a low-end mobile phone brand, ZTE difficulty to climb the class. After racking the brain, come up with a brilliant idea to create a new brand (spin-off) from the series of smartphones that have been made that is Nubia. Established in 2012, Nubia becomes an independent brand targeting the premium segment. This week (4/22), the Chinese origin of the company officially entered Indonesia by bringing three products at once namely Nubia M2, M2 lite and N1 lite. Of the three, Nubia M2 is a flagship series that is certainly the most attention.

As some of the leading smartphones, photography is the focus of product development in Nubia.

Described further, Nubia provides the best mobile photography experience and not just a smartphone with a camera. Their product is even the first mobile phone used for professional scientific photography projects: Milky Way (Beijing Planetarium & China Photographers’ Association, 2014), and is the first mobile phone to have Independent Focus and Exposure Metering (2012).
Dual Camera NeoVision
The reliability of its camera quality is embodied in the flagship smartphone Nubia M2 that carries Dual Camera technology and NeoVision. For the first time, Nubia uses a NeoVision dual lens camera with a 13MP sensor from a Sony dual camera that produces F / 2.0 aperture. Dual camera concept is similar to that in Huawei, the first lens RGB, while the second lens monochrome.
Not only that, this phone has a sophisticated dual image processing engine ISP that can calculate contrast and depth of field up to 10 levels in a flash, and focus in just 0.1 seconds with PDAF feature.
For photography enthusiasts, photos can be adjusted for the F0.8-F10 aperture effect through an internal merging algorithm, which intelligently combines the colors captured by RGB sensors with details captured by monochrome sensors. All focus settings, depth of field and previews can be done in real-time and can be adjusted further after image capture. Nubia M2 also features a 3D noise reduction algorithm to produce the best image even in low lighting conditions.
NeoVision 6.5 brings together professional and creative features such as Multi-Exposure; Light Painting; Electronic aperture; Star Trail; SLO-MO; Time-Lapse; Video creator; Trajectory; DNG; Clone; Macro-camera, PANO; A monochrome camera with 16 features, and a Stereo 3D camera, which is a photography function to change perspective when moving objects. The NeoVision 3D Stereo function combines multiple visual angles and dynamic conditions to create interactive 3D animated graphics.
NubiArc design
This phone brings thinness design only 7.0 mm. In addition, Nubia M2 is equipped with the black-metallic gold frame cut by diamond, with nubiArc design to fit and comfortable in the hand plus a 2.5D curved glass display.
Performance
Nubia looks more highlight aspects of photography alone which is already equivalent to other premium smartphones. But for the use of the machine, still not too confident using the latest technology. Nubi M2 uses a 64-bit Snapdragon 625 (MSM8953) chipset with Adreno 506 GPUs in the Qualcomm ranks in the middle class. RAM is big enough that 4GB with 64 GB internal memory that feels roomy plus the availability of external memory slot up to 200GB.
Our conjecture, the use of processors that are not the best class to suppress the price so that cheaper in the market. Can be seen from the price tag of Nubia M2 in Indonesia which is only IDR 4.399 million. Far below the price of other leading premium smartphone brands.
If you look at the capabilities offered, Nubia M2 has the potential to sell well in the market. But not an easy thing. Given Nubia is still a new brand that has not been known. Consumers will usually be more comfortable to buy a brand that is familiar and known quality qualified.
